Applying to St Michael’s College for Year 7 entry September 2025
The deadline for applying to St Michael’s Catholic College was 31st October 2024. If you have not applied yet then you will need to lodge a late application with the Council. You will also need to apply with us as below.
Please see the Admissions policy below which explains our admissions process for entry in 2025. Also listed is a letter giving guidance on applying and a link to the supplementary application form. Please read the guidance before you fill in the forms. Applicants must also ensure that they fill in the e-admissions form with their local authority. Certificates of Catholic Practice can be collected from the College or from your priest.

Appeals
If you have apply to St Michael’s Catholic College but are not offered a place then you can appeal against this decision. Please use the link to fill below to register an appeal.

You will then receive a letter from the School explaining why we were not able to offer your child a place. If you then still want to appeal then please email the school at contact@stmichaelscollege.org.uk
Appeals will be held in June – a draft timetable is below and a more detailed timetable for appeals for entry in 2025 will be published here shortly once confirmed.
3rd March – National Offer day – notification by LA to parents of secondary offers.
23rd April – Deadline for lodging appeals at St Michael’s – Has to be at least 20 days after offer day.
May – Notification to appellants of the date and arrangements for the hearing – has to be at least 10 days before the hearing.
June – Appeals held remotely – Has to be less than 40 days from the deadline for lodging appeals.
June – Decision letters sent to appellants
In year Admissions 2024-2025 for those already of Secondary School age
If you wish to make an in year admission application (where your child is already secondary school age) then please print off and fill in the two forms below and send them with a copy of your child’s baptism certificate and your proof of address to the College. You must also fill in the Local Authority form for your local council. Please read the admissions policy to ensure you understand the admissions criteria of the college.
