St Michael’s Catholic College are proud to report that Year 11 students have maintained the track record of academic excellence at the school with another year of brilliant GCSE results in 2024.
Their hard work, resilience and determination has paid off with a set of results that are above national figures on all measures. Students achieved 90% Grade 4 and above in English 82% Grade 4 and above in Maths and 68% achieved at least one grade 7-9. We are delighted that the vast majority of students will be staying on to complete A’ Level and CTEC courses at the very successful St Michael’s 6th form.
We congratulate all students on their achievements and we would also like to thank our exceptional staff and governors for their hard work and dedication as well as the parents, carers and families who have worked in partnership with us to support their children during their secondary education.
The Principal Felicity Corcoran said ‘I am incredibly proud of every single one of our Year 11 students, it has been wonderful to celebrate their excellent results and to see how far they have come during their time at St Michael’s. These results are a celebration of all that has been achieved through the combination of high-quality teaching, exceptional pastoral care and being part of a community with a strong ethos of faith and service to others.
We wish each and every Year 11 student well with their next steps and we know they have a wonderful future and many opportunities ahead of them.
